RM3 Recognized as the Best Road Bike

Stories

Bicycling Magazine named the Argonaut RM3 one of its Best Road Bikes of 2022. In its review, the publication described the bike as “one of the best-riding road bikes” they had tested, calling it a “masterpiece.” The recognition reflects how the RM3 performs outside of theory—on real roads, over real miles.

What Sets the RM3 Apart

The RM3 is not built around a single metric. Weight, stiffness, and aerodynamics are considered, but none are pursued in isolation. The objective is balance—creating a bike that remains responsive under load while maintaining composure over longer efforts.

The result is a ride that feels connected rather than exaggerated. Quick when accelerating, stable when descending, and consistent as conditions change.

How It Rides

Bicycling Magazine pointed to the RM3’s ability to remain smooth without feeling muted. The bike carries speed without becoming harsh, and it responds to input without introducing instability. That combination is difficult to achieve and defines how the RM3 behaves across different types of riding.

There is also a continuity to the ride. The frame doesn’t shift character depending on terrain or effort. It holds a predictable feel from start to finish.

Built Around the Rider

Each RM3 is constructed with rider-specific considerations in mind. Tube characteristics, layup, and final build are aligned to weight, power output, and riding style. Riders can also opt for fully custom geometry, extending the process to further refine fit and handling.

This approach ensures that performance is not generalized, but applied directly to how the bike will be used.
