A Rowdy Carbon Gravel Racer

Argonaut Cycles, the Oregon-based custom carbon builder, introduced the GR3 as a direct extension of its approach to ride quality.

Not a category play. Not a response to trend. A deliberate move into terrain that demands more from both rider and bike.

A Different Approach to Gravel

The GR3 wasn’t rushed to market.

It was developed over multiple years, with a focus on how the bike actually behaves when conditions become inconsistent—loose surfaces, shifting lines, and sustained effort.

The goal wasn’t versatility for its own sake. It was control across variability.

Stable when the terrain breaks down. Responsive when the pace lifts. Capable of handling technical sections without losing efficiency on open roads.

Built the Same Way, Just Applied Differently

Like the RM3, the GR3 is designed and fabricated in-house.

Layup, molding, assembly, and finishing all happen under one roof, using Argonaut’s high-pressure molding process to maintain control over fiber placement and structural consistency.

That control is what allows the bike to be tuned—not just for gravel, but for how gravel is actually ridden.

Where It Fits

The GR3 isn’t trying to be everything.

It’s built for riders who want a gravel bike that can be pushed—on climbs, through corners, and across terrain that doesn’t offer clean lines.

A race-capable platform that doesn’t lose composure when the course turns unpredictable.
